Once again, you are invited to join a team and participate in the 2022 Children’s Treatment Centre Celebrity Walk & Breakfast. Hosting in-person events continues to be challenging, but with your help and pledge, a very successful 24th annual Celebrity Walk & Breakfast will generate the major revenue that is vital for the Centre’s operations.

With health and safety in mind, co-sponsors Desjardins and Best Western, will be hosting a Drive-Thru Breakfast to kick off this fundraiser on Friday, October 28th from 7 to 10 a.m. at Best Western on Brookdale Avenue. On the menu: a free hot breakfast sandwich, coffee or juice and other delicious treats! If you accept this invitation to participate, a ticket will be provided to you to present at the drive-thru.

Instead of an early-morning, live presentation, YourTV will be rebroadcasting during the weeks ahead, the courageous and inspirational addresses by adult survivors of child abuse presented at our past events. Check YourTV listings for airing times.

Beginning in November, the Cornwall Standard-Freeholder, founder and principal sponsor of this event, will once again run a multi-week “Celebrity” print campaign featuring your name and photo to recognize your generosity.

The counselling services provided to child abuse victims and their families in the communities of Cornwall, Stormont, Dundas, Glengarry and Akwesasne are made possible through donations and continuous fundraising. To date, 2956 children from 2554 families have been helped at the Centre, but since the onset of the pandemic, the need has increased. To maintain its no-waiting policy, services have been augmented in Cornwall, and a new office has been opened in Alexandria, making access easier for residents of Glengarry County.

To help fund these increased needs, we are asking you to join a team and become a “Celebrity” by making a personal, tax-deductible pledge of $100.00. Collecting pledges from colleagues, family, friends or neighbours is another way everyone can make up or surpass the $100.00 request. Every donation, no matter how small, is valuable.

Your participation in this event will ensure the Centre’s ability to provide hope and healing to children who seek its help.
